I’m so excited! ~ My heart was delivered, and I am applying the first coats of Gesso.
Hearts of Las Vegas
I am so honored to be able to contribute to this special project! ~ I am painting one of twelve large heart sculptures that will be auctioned in May, to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visit St Jude’s Hearts of Las Vegas page, to see some of last year’s painted hearts.
A special thanks goes out to Skin City Body Painting for generously allowing me to work in the downtown Las Vegas studio… This huge heart was too large to fit in through the door of my house!
I’ve already got some ideas simmering, stay tuned for more photos as I progress over the next three months.

It has been said that art is a tryst, for in the joy of it maker and beholder meet. ~Kojiro Tomita
I really enjoy the freedom of working with raw color, texture and movement… to suggest and imply, rather than define and delimit.
The value and meaning in a work of art is influenced as much by the interpretation of the observer as by its creator. Perhaps more so in an abstract work, than in a figurative piece. There is an openness, ready to be personified by each beholder, uniquely.
Below are my recent abstract paintings, some of which have sold and some are still available on Etsy…
